Thanks to this success, a new cultural event– called lille3000 – will now be held every two years. Open to modernity, world cultures, encounters between audiences, inhabitants and visitors, it bases its programming on research and innovation. In 2006, lille3000 has focused on India, and in 2008, it will focus on Eastern Europe.
